Stearnswood, a manufacturer of transport packaging, completed its new 10,500 sf building project, adding much needed production space and a new loading dock. The new facility is the latest addition to the company’s seven building campus. Over 130 years old, Stearnswood goes almost all the way back to Hutchinson’s beginning, starting as the local lumberyard. Today the company is a high-tech manufacturer of custom designed wood boxes, bases, crates and related items for military and civilian applications. The new building brings increased efficiency to production and the addition of the company’s first robot!
