The Southwest Small Business Development Center (SW SBDC) is a joint venture of federal, state and the private sector. This includes the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) and Southwest Minnesota State University (SMSU.)
In addition, numerous counties and the private sector provide funding to the SBDC program. It is through the generosity of our partners that SBDC services are provided at no cost to the small businesses in southwest Minnesota SBDCs provide the expertise and guidance that every small business owner needs to flourish in today’s competitive economy:

- Services for start-ups
- Training workshops and seminars, tailored to meet the needs of the business community
- Professional, confidential consulting
